Welcome to the John Quincy Adams Tower!

Greetings from your Residence Director:

Welcome! On behalf of the John Quincy Adams (JQA) staff, and as the JQA Residence Director (RD), I would like to welcome you to a new academic year! I am very happy to have you be a part of the JQA community. JQA Tower offers many exciting opportunities for residents to get involved. There are 18 Resident Assistants (RAs) that help build a residential community where you can interact with other JQA residents through floor and cluster wide programs. We also have a JQA Community Leader program where you can get involved in creating programs for JQA and contribute to service learning projects for the surrounding UMass Amherst communities.

On the 22nd floor of JQA there is a 24-hour quiet community where residents can enjoy a quiet atmosphere and fantastic views! In addition to our residential floors there is a Wellness Center on the 19th floor where students can pay a small semester fee to workout in the cluster.

As the RD of JQA, I am extremely excited to meet all of you. If you have any questions or concerns once you are on campus or just want to say hi, feel free to stop by my office on the first floor of JQA, room 102. Thank you!

Greetings from your Assistant Residence Directors:

Hello! We are your Assistant Residence Directors (ARDs), Jacob Clemen and Cornelius Taabazuing. We are part-time, live-in, graduate student staff members who will help you make the most of your living experience in John Quincy Adams Tower (JQA). We assist in the management and operation of the cluster by supervising the Resident Assistants (RAs) and Cluster Office Manager (COM), advising student leader groups, and much more! We look forward to interacting with you as much as possible. Once you are on campus do not hesitate to stop by our office, located on the first floor of JQA, room 101, and say hi! We look forward to meeting you!
