Greetings from your Residence Director
Welcome to John Quincy Adams Hall, also known as JQA Cluster! My name is Steve Weglinski and I am the Residence Director (RD) for this great community. I work with a staff of two graduate student Assistant Residence Directors (ARDs), Denise Boneta and Cornelius Taabazuing, and the JQA Resident Assistants (RAs) to provide you with a safe, inclusive and fun living environment that supports your academic experience at UMass Amherst. The staff and I are here to help you with anything such as getting involved in the halls or on campus, locating classes, navigating personal concerns, connecting with peers, and the list goes on! Each year at UMass Amherst offers new challenges, opportunities and memories in the making. Let us assist you in making the most out of your time here. I encourage you to get to know the staff and welcome you to stop by my office (Room 102) to introduce yourself.

About the Community
JQA is a Multi-Class Year hall with 3 kitchens located on 2 floors and a common lounge on each floor for students to use. On the 22nd floor of JQA there is a 24-hour quiet community where residents can enjoy a quiet atmosphere and fantastic views!
