Welcome to Thatcher/Lewis/Johnson!
Greetings from your Residence Director:
Thatcher/Lewis/Johnson is now your new home away
from home! I have no doubt you will love it! My name is Julia Mohlala
and I am the Residence Director (RD) for the Thatcher/Lewis/Johnson
Cluster. I am here to answer your questions and to make sure that
your new home is a safe and welcoming place to live. I also work
with the student leaders who will assist in making your transition
to UMass Amherst a smooth one. I strongly believe that students
should explore anything and everything they ever wanted to learn
from juggling to playing the guitar to studying politics. I hope
that you will take advantage of all UMass Amherst has to offer
you! Not just in classes, but in lifelong friendships, in trying
out new ideas that you would never have thought about before, in
getting involved in any of the student organizations and activities
that occur in our community and sharing your talents and interests
with others. The time you spend in Thatcher/Lewis/Johnson will
be some of the most memorable times of your life. I hope it’s
everything you ever dreamed it would be! Welcome to Thatcher/Lewis/Johnson,
and please feel free to stop by my office, located on the first
floor of Thatcher, room 105, anytime.
