Welcome to Thatcher/Lewis/Johnson!

Greetings from your Residence Director:

Greetings and welcome to the Thatcher/Lewis/Johnson Cluster, also known as “JOLT”!!! My name is Julia Mohlala, the Residence Director, and I would like to welcome you to our residence halls! As you will soon learn, JOLT is more than just a residence hall, it is a home away from home. It is a cluster that promotes intercultural learning, fun and respect for all students. There are opportunities to expand your personal horizons through involvement in cluster leadership initiatives and recreational programs. Also, you will meet and make friends from various cultural and social backgrounds with a wide array of experiences. This is definitely a place where you can add to the quality of your educational life and personal success.

My role as a Residence Director (RD) is to assist you in making your time in JOLT meaningful and enjoyable. I work with individual students by serving as a resource and conferring on any issues that you may encounter. I work and live in Thatcher/Lewis/Johnson. I enjoy living here and hope you enjoy living here too. Please stop by office in 105 Thatcher. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you.

Greetings from your Assistant Residence Director:

Hello! My name is Leso Munala and I am your Assistant Residence Director (ARD). I am a part-time, live-in, graduate student staff member who will help you make the most of your living experience in JOLT. I assist the Residence Director in the management and operation of the cluster office by supervising Resident Assistants and the Cluster Office Manager. Don’t hesitate to stop by my office (located inside the cluster office) and say hi! I look forward to meeting you!
