Welcome to Dwight/Leach/Hamlin
Greetings from your Residence Director:
Hello! My name is Mukul Acharya and I am the
Residence Director (RD) for the Dwight/Leach/Hamlin Cluster, also
known as DWEALIN. Our cluster is one of three clusters that surrounds
the large, grassy quad in the Northeast area, which is the perfect
place for activities planned by student leaders such as Resident
Assistants (RAs), Community Leaders (CLs), House Council and Northeast
Area Government. The Northeast area is uniquely known for being
the first residential buildings to be built at UMass Amherst!
I have been on campus for many years, and I am
excited that this is my first year working in the DWEALIN cluster.
I am thrilled to be working here with a wonderful staff including
12 RAs, one Assistant Residence Director (ARD), one Cluster Office
Manager (COM), and many Cluster Office Staff. Together, along with
other student leaders, our staff provides opportunities for students
to get involved and connect with one another through programming
and residence hall activities. Our staff members are also great
at connecting you with other organizations and resources across
campus. My office is located on the first floor of Leach Hall,
room 112, next to the security desk – please stop by to say
hello once you arrive on campus!

Greetings from your Assistant Residence Director:
Hello! My name is Eboni Rafus and I am your Assistant
Residence Director (ARD). I am a part-time, live-in, graduate student
staff member who will help you make the most of your living experience
in our cluster, which is affectionately known as “Dwealin.” I
assist in the management and operation of the cluster by supervising
the Resident Assistants (RAs) and Cluster Office Manager (COM),
advising student leader groups, and much more!
There are so many opportunities to get involved
within Dwealin; you can join House Council, become a Community
Leader, participate in our Living and Learning Communities, or
attend floor and cluster-wide events. The opportunities are endless!
We hope that you will take advantage of all of the wonderful opportunities
that await you both in our cluster and throughout the campus. Once
you are on campus, do not hesitate to stop by my office, located
on the first floor of Leach Hall, room 114A, and say hi! I look
forward to meeting you!
