Welcome to Crabtree/Mary Lyon/Knowlton!

Greetings from your Residence Director:

Hello and welcome to UMass Amherst! I am Gerardo Blanco, the Residence Director (RD) for the Crabtree/Mary Lyon/Knowlton cluster. CMLK (pronounced C-MiLK) is one of three clusters in the Northeast area and is conveniently located off of the campus’ North Pleasant Street thoroughfare and just across from the Worcester Dining Commons.

This year is my first year as the RD in the CMLK cluster. I am excited to work with a wonderful staff and to serve such an amazing student population. My central role is to help build a safe, caring, and inclusive community in our cluster. Once you arrive on campus, look for me in my office, which is located on the first floor of Crabtree, room 111, next to the Cluster Office. I am here to serve a resource for your development, so feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns. I will be happy to help you find an answer, and to refer you to other resources on campus.

The CMLK staff is excited that you are part of our community! If you are looking for a residential experience that builds upon connections and involvement, then you are headed for the right place! You are a crucial member of the CMLK community and the CMLK staff is excited to welcome you to your home for the 2007-2008 school year!

Greetings from your Assistant Residence Director:

Hello! My name is D. Chase Catalano and I am your Assistant Residence Director (ARD). I am a doctoral student in the Social Justice Education program. I see college as a place to explore your values and identities and I enjoy working with students as they develop into their future selves. As ARD, I assist in the management and operation of the cluster by supervising the Resident Assistants (RAs) and Cluster Office Manager (COM), advising student leader groups, and much more! Once you arrive on campus, do not hesitate to stop by my office, which is located within the Cluster Office on the first floor of Crabtree, and say hi! I look forward to meeting you!
