Southwest Area

The Southwest Residential Area, the largest on campus, houses 5,500 students in its five high-rise towers, and eleven low-rise residence halls. All buildings are coed, although single sex floors are available. A 24-hour quiet hours floor exists in JQA. Break Housing is available in Prince.

First-Year Halls located in: Melville, Thoreau, Pierpont , Moore, James, Emerson, Kennedy, and Cance Halls

Residential Academic Programs (RAPs) are affiliated with some first-year learning communities. For a complete list of programs and locations, please see the RAP website.

Honors Living Learning Communities located in: John Adams (Multi-Year) and Melville (First-Year)

SophoMORE Residence Halls located in: Crampton and MacKimmie Halls

TRANSFERmations located in: Washington

Defined Residential Communities
• Harambee: African Heritage Student Program in Coolidge Hall
• Nuance: Multicultural Student Community in Crampton Hall

Other Area Features
