Committees
The following committees will be established
each year in an effort to involve the General Body and increase
the chapter’s ability to meet its goals. The Executive Board
may determine which committees are necessary each semester. The
chairperson for each committee will be either an Executive Board
member or General Body member.
Recognition
The Recognition Chairperson will serve
as either chair or ex-officio member. This committee's goal is
to develop ways to recognize
campus leaders, recognize
NRHH members, and develop ways to recognize others that significantly contribute
to the residence hall communities. Currently this includes the URIT awards
and the conGRATS award.
Programming and Community Service
This Committee develops ways
to work with other organizations, assist with fundraising events
as necessary, organizes community
service projects for the
organization,
and organizes other special events. Any Executive board member or general
body member may be the chair of this committee.
Administrative
This Committee is charged with
maintaining the NRHH website, creating and distributing an NRHH
newsletter (distribution
to include members of Residence
Life staff,
NRHH members, and others as seems appropriate), establishing at least
one (1) fundraiser per year, review revenue sources annually
and actively seek
new
ways to supplement the budget. The Secretary/Treasurer will serve as
either chair
or ex-officio member.
Selection
The Selection Committee coordinates
selection and induction of Active and Honorary members. The Selection
Committee is established
in the
fall semester
and is
composed of no fewer than five (5) Active members with a maximum
of two (2) members of
the Executive Board. The Vice President serves as chairperson of
this committee.
