In addition to bringing the basics: sheets*, blankets, pillows, towels, clothes hangers and a touch-tone telephone; you may also want to bring some of the following items.

  • Quilt/comforter
  • Alarm clock
  • Laundry basket/bag
  • Laundry detergent
  • Stackable crates
  • Storage containers for under the bed
  • Something to carry shower/bathroom items
  • Flip flops (for the shower)
  • Sewing kit
  • Umbrella
  • Backpack
  • Fan
  • School supplies
  • Stationery and stamps
  • Cleaning supplies (to clean your room!)
  • Posters or decorations

*Residence hall beds are 80" long x 36" wide.

Please arrange your room in an energy efficient and/or environmentally sensitive manner. For example, please bring compact flourescent lamps instead of incandescent lamps.

If you are sharing a room, you may want to coordinate larger items such as a television, VCR or stereo.
