Residential Wellness Centers - FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

1.

Can I pick all four centers?

You can select to have card access to all centers if you would like to. You automatically get access to the closest two Wellness Centers to your Residence Hall.

2.

Are there shower facilities?

There are no shower facilities located in any of the Wellness Centers.

3.

I lost my UCARD, what should I do?

Because your UCARD contains all of the necessary membership information, you will need to replace your UCARD in order to return and workout in the Centers.

4.

Can I get a refund if I don't like the gym?

You can request a refund up to 14 days after you purchase your membership. Keep in mind that refund requests are reviewed by the Program Director before being granted. The last day for Summer Membership refunds is Tuesday, September 30th.

5.

Can I just come in to workout once to see if I like it?

You are welcome to come in and look around the Center to see the equipment but we do require you to purchase a membership in order to work out. Remember, you can always request a refund within 14 days of the purchase.

6.

Do I need to bring my UCARD with me every time I want to work out?

You do need to have your UCARD with you whenever you want to work out. No one will be admitted to the Center without their UCARD.

7.

When do the Wellness Centers open?

The Wellness Centers will be open on Friday Sept. 5th and Saturday Sept. 6th 3-5 PM for registration and regular center use! The centers will be open for regular semester hours beginning Monday Sept. 8th!

8.

What about the gym in the James Residence Hall?

The gym in James Hall is only for the residents of that building and is not included with a Wellness Center membership. Funding for that gym came from Housing and Residence Life and not from other students' Wellness Program membership fees. While the Wellness Program is managing the facility, it is being operated as a separate entity.
