The University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applicants for the position of Leadership Education Specialist. This full time, professional staff position is responsible for the development of a comprehensive program intended to develop the leadership knowledge and skills of students and promote student involvement.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in a related field such as Student Development, Higher Education, or Counseling plus two academic years full time professional experience in residence life and/or higher education setting with an emphasis on student leadership education, student involvement and student development required at the time of hire; Proven expertise in the development of students and student leaders and experience in relating effectively to diverse populations; Leadership ability in organizational development; proficient and practiced in the goals of Student Affairs organizations; Proficiency of computer technology including Microsoft application; Frequent evening and weekend work required.

Hiring Salary

Range: $39,200 - $50,000 Normal Starting Salary $39,200 - $44,600
