Welcome to
the Apartment Living Advisor Selection Process!
By completing an application, you are expressing your interest in one of the
newest and most important student leadership positions available at the University
of Massachusetts Amherst. Apartment Living Advisors (ALA) are community leaders,
educators, counselors, friends, change agents, advisors, policy enforcers,
and team players. If hired and placed as an ALA you will play a critical role
in shaping the new apartment community for the student residents there. The
demands on ALAs are complex, but the material and nonmaterial benefits are
extremely rewarding. The ALA position is one of the toughest positions you’ll
ever love.
Training Dates
New Resident Assistants, Apartment Living Advisors and all Cluster Office Managers and Peer Mentors return for training on Monday, August 18, 2008.
Returning RAs and ALAs come back for training on Friday, August 22, 2008. All staff check into their cluster office between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.
