Residence Hall Opening and Closing

Spring 2013 Opening Information

Students may check into the residence halls for the spring 2013 semester on Sunday, January 20th between 9:00am-9:00pm. Students may also check in on Monday, January 21st, 2013 during regular service desk hours.

Students who plan on arriving after 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013 must contact the Student Services Office at (413) 545-2100 to request a late arrival. Students who do not request a late arrival or check in by 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013 will be reported to the Student Services Office and their spring 2013 assignment will be cancelled. Early Arrivals
Students who would like to move in early for spring semester may do so on Friday, January 18, 2013 between 11am-5pm. The cost to arrive early for spring semester is $50 per night for a total of $100. There are NO Saturday arrivals. To request an early arrival for spring, please call Residential Life Student Services at 413.545.2100.

Please Note: Students should plan their travel times and dates based on the information provided as no exceptions will be made to students arriving on dates not designated regular check-in.

Spring Break 2013 Closing Information

All undergraduate Residence Halls except Break Housing Halls and North Area Apartments will close at 6:00pm on Friday, March 15, 2013 and will re-open at 10:00am on Sunday, March 24, 2012. Students who have not vacated their Residence Hall by 6:00pm will be assessed a $150 Unauthorized Occupancy fee. Students and families should make plans for departure based on the dates and times above. Students who require on campus housing over the break period should contact Residential Life Student Services at (413) 545-2100.

Spring 2013 Closing Information

All undergraduate Residence Halls will close at 6:00pm on Thursday May 9, 2013. Students and families should make plans for departure based on this closing date and time. Graduating seniors and students assisting with commencement will receive information on how to request permission to stay late during the spring 2013 semester. Students who did not receive permission to stay late and have not vacated their Residence Hall by 6:00pm on May 9, 2013 will be assessed a $150 Unauthorized Occupancy fee.
